Christopher Kieling is a painter and multimedia artist born in Berlin, Germany, in 1988. After several years of figurative painting, where he built relationships with a network of international galleries, art fairs and collectors, Christopher began to rethinkhis artistic approach. This led to the development of the unique visual language, consisting of floating shapes and intuitive arrangements of various materials including fabric, rubber, wood and metals that imbues his latest works. Inspired by constructivists like El Lissitzky and Kazimir Malevich as well as artistic movements such as Bauhaus and De Stijl, Christopher builds a bridge between the political climate of that time and current sociopolitical developments. One could describe his work as neo-suprematism, or just give it air to breath and let it develop into something of its own accord.
